After a nationwide search for what it calls the perfect city, T-Mobile has announced it will soon open its newest customer service facility in Augusta.
And that means a thousand new jobs for one of the country’s leading metropolitan areas.
The Washington-based T-Mobile will begin hiring for customer service and management jobs this spring.
Employees at the new 80-thousand square foot complex will enjoy an on-site gym, deli, tee-vee lounge and cyber café.
This is the second bit of good news this week for Augusta.
Earlier this week, Augusta was voted the country’s most affordable metro area.
