Today a federal court in Atlanta took up the case of a high school student who wrote a story about killing her math teacher. Rachel Boim was suspended for 10 days, and she wants the court to remove the suspension from her permanent record. Today justices heard arguments from Boim’s attorneys … and lawyers for the Fulton County School District. The court did not issue a ruling.
