Georgia sports for Monday, May 14th

The Braves were roughed-up by the Pirates in the finale of their series in Pittsburgh Sunday, 13-2. The Pirates racked-up 18 hits of offense against Atlanta-pitching: Braves starter Anthony Lerew allowed 7 hits and 5 runs in 3-and-two-thirds innings. The bullpen allowed another 8 runs.
The road trip continues for the Braves as they'll start a 4-game series in Washington tonight. Atlanta still leads the NL-East by a half-game on the Mets.

College baseball weekend: Ga Tech on Sunday lost at North Carolina 14-11. The Yellow Jackets won a single game in the 3-game series.
Georgia in Athens Sunday, swept a doubleheader from 13th ranked Miss State, 2-1 and 5-3 the final scores.
Ga Southern's baseball team was on the road in Charleston--the Eagles beat The Citadel 17-4 on Sunday.

From the NFL, the Atlanta Falcons wrapped up a weekend mini-camp--mandatory for all players. It was the first chance for new head coach Bobby Petrino to take an early look at his roster during the off-season.
