The Braves used a big 7th inning to comeback and beat the Dodgers Sunday afternoon, 6-4 at Turner Field in Atlanta.
The Braves scored 5 runs in that inning to turn-around a 4-1 deficit. Jarrod Saltalamacchia had the first 2 hits of his major league career, including the RBI-single in that 7th inning to give the Braves the lead. Edgar Renteria had a key 2-run double, along with Scott Thorman's game-tying RBI-single.
The Braves are back into a tie atop the NL-East division wiht the Mets, on the record of 19-11. Atlanta opens a home-series against the Padres tonight.
College baseball from the weekend: Georgia Tech in Tampa, ripped South Florida 12-2 on Sunday. The Yellow Jackets are now 29-17 for the season, and they'll go for the 3-game sweep of the series today at noon.
Georgia's baseball team was drilled by Vanderbilt yesterday 15-4. Bulldog-pitching gave up 23 hits. Georgia lost 2-of-3 games in the series, and fell to a record of 19-30 for the season.
