Georgia sports for Tuesday, May 22nd

The Braves begin a 6-game homestand against two of their NL-East rivals—-the 1st of 3 against the division leading Mets is tonight. Kyle Davies gets the pitching start, opposed by former-Brave Jorge Sosa. After only 4 wins on their 10-game road trip, the Braves start play today trailing the Mets by 2-and-a-half games in the division.

Law enforcement officials in Virginia met yesterday to compare and discuss evidence they have in the investigation into Michael Vick’s house and suspected dog fighting operation. Authorities would only say their investigation continues. The case began April 25th with a drug raid of the house owned by Atlanta Falcons'quarterback Vick in Virginia. It revealed dozens of dogs and items connected to dog fighting. Vick is a registered dog breeder--he has said he was unaware of activity there with a cousin living at the residence.

The NCAA Men’s Tennis Championships in Athens has its' finals today. Georgia’s unbeaten team will face Illinois for the title this afternoon. The women’s tournament also in Athens--that will feature Georgia Tech against UCLA for the Championship.
