A Brussells pharmaceutical company is expanding its Georgia headquarters. UCB will invest 5-million dollars to enlarge its facility in Cobb County. No word on whether the company will also add to its current workforce of 400. Governor Sonny Perdue announced the expansion today in Belgium. The Governor is nearing the end of a two-week trade mission through Europe. Perdue says UCB is committed to Georgia because the state’s life sciences industry is booming, and because of the Georgia’s excellent research schools.
