Chipper Jones in the 9th delievered a 2-out run-scoring single, but the rally ended there. For 7 innings, the Braves were handcuffed by Reds starting pitcher Bronson Arroyo. He posted 9 strikeouts while holding Atlanta scoreless.
A first hearing date is expected to be set today for Atlanta Falcons' quarterback Michael Vick as he faces federal dogfighting charges. Vick was indicted Tuesday on charges relating to his involvement in a dog fighting operation. Falcons' owner Arthur Blank returned to team headquarters in Flowery Branch from a trip out of the country. It was reported he was in meetings with team officials Wednesday morning.
