Georgia’s lottery has set a new record. Today the Georgia Lottery Corporation announced it earned more than $3.4 billion dollars in fiscal year 2007. That’s the most in its 14-year history. The Lottery transferred nearly $854,000,000 dollars into the State Treasury’s Lottery for Education Account. That $31-million more than last year. In all, the Lottery has raised more than $9 billion for state education.
