PeachCare enrollment re-opens later this week. A huge budget shortfall a few months ago forced Georgia to stop accepting new patients into the state’s health insurance program for poor children. But some warn that opening enrollment will only be temporary unless Congress agrees to fund PeachCare. The state Board of Community Health, which oversees PeachCare, has been asked to cap enrollment at 295,000 children.
