Columbus mgr.: new Little Leaguers in for fame

The manager of last year’s Little League world champs, from Columbus, says the Warner Robins kids had better get ready for fame and fun.

Randy Morris, manager of the 2006 champs, Columbus Northern, says that his team’s still “livin’ in the big,” one year later:

“It basically changed our lives somewhat, you know. These kids have become little celebrities; they are recognized wherever they go, and they’ve made so many appearances, and gotten to do so many wonderful things…
The team has put in many public appearances since their win, including meeting with the president, and other national figures, Morris told GPB News.

Morris adds that the children’s experiences have been positive, and that they have handled success well:
“That’s the one thing I’m most proud of them for; none of this has went to their heads – they’re just little kids.”
But, Morris says, not too little to be signing autographs. Lots and lots of autographs.
