The Georgia Supreme Court has agreed to hear an appeal by a high-profile death row inmate. Lower courts have repeatedly denied Troy Davis a new trial. Davis was convicted of killing a Savannah Police Officer in 1989, but Davis’ says he’s innocent. Several witnesses have since recanted their testimony that helped convict him. Davis currently has a 90-day stay of execution.
