Georgia is getting federal funds after this summer’s dangerously high temperatures. The money is from the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program. It will help low-income Georgians offset the cost of keeping their homes cool during the heat wave. Georgia will take part of $50 million dollars available to people in 12 states hit by high temperatures.
