Public to decide fate of home run record ball

The man who scored the winning bid in an online auction for the ball that Barry Bonds hit to break Hank Aaron's all-time home run record, has decided to let the public decide what will happen to it next. Fashion designer Marc Ecko has set up a Web site that lets visitors vote on whether to give the ball to the Hall of Fame, or "put the ball on a rocket ship and launch it into orbit." Ecko says he plans to announce the final tally after voting ends next Tuesday. The final selling price for the ball was more than $750,000. (Source: Associated Press)
