Today the Georgia Supreme Court unanimously upheld the death penalty for a Macon County man. Artemus Walker was convicted of fatally stabbing Ray Gresham, then-Vice President of Columbus Bank & Trust in Montezuma. It happened in May 1999, after Gresham’s bank refused Walker a loan.
