Georgia sports for Friday, February 15th

Spring training officially opens this morning for the Atlanta Braves. After reporting to their camp at Disney in Orlando yesterday, the team's pitchers and catchers hit the field for the opening workout of 2008. They'll be joined by their position-player teammates next week.

Men's college basketball from Thursday night: Georgia Tech lost on the road at Clemson, 82-67. Tech's Yellow Jackets saw their record fall to 11-12 overall, and 4-5 in the ACC.

- Georgia Southern topped Wofford in Statesboro, 77-66
- Kennesaw State was a winner at home, 75-67 over Stetson.
- Mercer scored a victory in Macon over Florida Gulf Coast, 76-74 in OT.

From women's college hoops action Thursday, Georgia in Athens knocked off Florida 85-66.
