On-line driving course for motorists

Georgia motorists could soon be taking driving courses on-line instead of in person. A measure in the state house on Monday would let Georgia motorists take court-ordered driving courses on-line instead of in person.

The bill’s sponsors say it will help the state better regulate the driving schools.

However, critics worry that it is too lax on driving offenders and could lead to widespread fraud because there's no way to tell who is actually taking the course.

The measure would not apply to DUI schools.
