A program that recognizes veteran teachers who train their peers could soon start paying those teachers. Governor Sonny Perdue says he’s included money in his 2009 budget to financially reward members of the Master Teacher program. The Governor envisions an annual stipend of $500 for mentoring new teachers, and $2,000 for serving as an academic coach.
