The Atlanta Braves ended their 3-city, 9-game road trip on a positive note, dropping the Marlins last night 8-nothing in the finale of the series in Miami. The Braves' offense knocked 5 home runs--Chipper Jones had 2 within a 4-for-4 night and 3 RBI's at the plate. Veteran pitcher John Smoltz threw 5 scoreless innings and recorded 10 strikeouts. The Braves still posted a disappointing 3-6 road trip. They begin a homestand tonight in Atlanta with the opening of a series against the Los Angeles Dodgers. The series marks the return of former Brave Andruw Jones to Atlanta.
