New district attorney in Augusta

Governor Sonny Perdue has appointed Rebecca Ashley Wright as district attorney for the Augusta judicial circuit.

Wright, 40, an assistant district attorney, replaces Danny Craig, who recently gave up that job to become a superior court judge.

The Augusta judicial circuit is made up of Richmond, Columbia and Burke counties.
