The bill, if signed into law by Governor Sonny Perdue, would require new testing standards for cigarettes sold in Georgia. The cigarettes would need to pass standards set by New York Fire Safety on the likelihood that a type of cigarette could ignite soft furnishings, upholstered furniture, and beds.
