Democrats Keep Raking in the Money

New finance reports released today show Democrats are out raising presumptive GOP nominee John McCain in Georgia.

For the past ten years, Republicans have far out performed their Democratic rivals in raising money in Georgia, according to election records. But since his win in Iowa, Democratic Presidential front runner Barack Obama has out raised presumptive McCain by more than two to one, according to federal election commission filings. About half of Obama’s two million dollar haul in Georgia came from small donors.

About 20 percent of McCain’s Georgia money comes from small donors.

Candidate contributions are just one indicator of where Georgians are leaning politically. Another measure is polling, and there McCain fares much better than Obama. The latest survey shows the Arizona Senator up by thirteen points.
