Georgia is poised to execute its second death row inmate in less than three weeks. Samuel David Crowe is scheduled to die by lethal injection Thursday night for robbing and killing a Douglas County man in 1988. He would be the 19th person to die from lethal injection in Georgia. Crowe’s lawyers are seeking a stay of execution and commutation of his sentence.
