Georgia entices entertainment industry

Governor Sonny Perdue signed a bill to make Georgia the Hollywood of the South.

2008 Entertainment Industry Investment Act offers a 20 percent tax credit for film, TV and other production in all Georgia counties. If the film displays a Georgia logo in the credits, the state gives another 10 percent tax incentive.

The tax cut applies to films, TV series, commercials, music videos and video games productions. Those industries combined contributed 413 million dollars to Georgia’s economy last year.
