United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon was in Atlanta today. Ban says the U. N. is preparing to send two planeloads of food and relief items to Myanmar in the aftermath of the cyclone that has killed tens of thousands. Ban says he "regrettably" has yet to have direct talks with the military junta controlling Myanmar despite his efforts. He warned that even greater catastrophe could strike if the country's leaders continue to refuse aid workers and don't expedite visa requests.
