Absentee voting for Georgia's primary election begins today. Governor Sonny Perdue recently signed into a law a provision to remove the restriction for voting absentee in person, but that provision has not yet been approved by the federal level. For voters casting absentee ballots by mail, a reason does not need to be given. The state's primary election is July 15th.
