UGA mascot burial today

The English bulldog Uga the sixth–the University of Georgia football team’s mascot since 1999—will be buried today at the Sanford stadium in Athens.

The nine-year old bulldog died Friday night of heart failure. A private ceremony will precede the burial. The next bulldog in line has been decided but the identity of Uga the seventh remains a secret.
