Vice President Dick Cheney touched down at Middle Georgia Regional Airport this afternoon in Macon. He is here to attend a fundraiser in Perry for Rick Goddard. Goddard is running for Congress in the 8th Congressional District. The Republican is hoping to unseat third term Congressman and Democrat, Jim Marshall.
Cheney departed Air force Two and was welcomed by eight Goddard supporters. The motorcade will travel back to the airport later in the evening. Cheney is scheduled to leave Macon shortly after 7:00pm.
