More than 740 were apprehended in Georgia during a multi-state law enforcement operation. Nationwide, more than 19,000 fugitives were caught as part of the 49-state Operation FALCON - Federal And Local Cops Organized Nationally. At a news conference today in Atlanta, Attorney General Michael B. Mukasey said that 162 state and 1,425 local sheriff's and police departments assisted in the crackdown.
