The Atlanta Braves stumbled out of their weekend series at home at Turner Field with losses in 2-of-3 games to the last-place Washington Nationals. The visitors roughed-up the Braves 15-6 Sunday afternoon. Atlanta-pitching was lighted for 17 hits, while the Atlanta-defense contributed 4 errors in the field. The bright spot from the Braves-offense included a pair of home runs from 1st baseman Mark Teixeira. The Braves have lost 11 of their past 17 games. They stand 6-and-a-half games out of first in the NL-East division. Now they head to the road to play two of the three teams ahead of them—they’re in Florida tonight to face the Marlins.
