A longtime Savannah television news anchor and reporter was killed early Monday while covering a story. Steven Shoob of WTOC-TV was struck by a car near Interstate-95 close to the South Carolina line. The 58-year-old Savannah native had been with the TV-station since 1987—he also served in the role as managing editor.
