US Census: Atlanta grows, others shrink

The U.S. Census Bureau says the population of the city of Atlanta now exceeds half a million. It’s estimated that Atlanta's population grew by more than 20,000 between July 1, 2006, and July 1, 2007. That put the city's population at 519,145. On the other hand, the census estimates that Columbus lost nearly 4,800 people from 2006 to 2007.
