The Braves have lost 5-straight, and 10 of their past 11 games. The Atlanta 1-run decision Thursday also represented the 27th-consecutive 1-run defeat on the road, which extends a major league record. The Braves tonight begin a series in St Louis.
Braves’ veteran pitcher Tom Glavine had successful surgery on his left elbow Thursday, as well as a procedure on his left shoulder. The rehabilitation time-frame from surgery would allow for Glavine to pitch again in 2009 if he chooses to do so.
