Baby panda returned to Lun Lun

Zoo Atlanta officials say the 3-day-old giant panda cub they put in an incubator after its temperature dropped has been returned to its mother and has been identified as male. They said today in a statement that the cub, which had been removed from its mother Monday evening, was reintroduced to her Tuesday afternoon. Zoo senior vice president Dwight Lawson said the drop in the cub's body temperature probably meant that the mother, Lun Lun, was not producing milk. Lun Lun showed immediate interest in the cub when it was reintroduced and picked it up and cradled it when it was placed inside her den. Keepers examined the cub again a few hours later and noted that it had gained weight, which they called a good indication.
