The troubled Clayton County school district will not appeal the revocation of its accreditation by a national agency. The district says fighting the decision would cost too much money. Instead, the district will focus its efforts on regaining accreditation within a year. The 50,000-student district lost its accreditation a week ago after it failed to meet all but one of nine mandates outlined in a scathing February report.
