Eminent domain in Brunwick court today

Eminent domain will come before a superior court in Brunswick today. The county wants to condemn 2 properties to expand the jail in downtown. A property owner is refusing to sell, saying he wants the property for historic preservation.
Many Brunswick residents oppose jail expansion, saying it conflicts with downtown revitalization. During July primary
elections, voters in a straw poll favored moving the jail outside of town by a 3-1 margin.
