Contest to name Zoo Atlanta panda

Zoo Atlanta is horning in on the voting season on Monday when it begins accepting votes to name the zoo's baby Panda. The voting will run through Dec. 3, when the panda will be 95 days old. Five days later, in accordance with Chinese tradition, the baby will be named on its 100th day. Fans can submit a name by visiting the zoo and casting a ballot at the panda exhibit or by visiting zooatlanta.com. The name will be selected from a list of 12 suggestions - one from the zoo's directors, two from the zoo staff, one from zoo menbers, one from suggestions on the myspace.com page, five from the media and two from China's Chengdu City, home of the research facility that owns the pandas in Atlanta.
