Drought hampers fair, but the show goes on

The Prater's Mill Country Fair in northwest Georgia will go on this weekend despite drought that has brought a halt to the machine at the heart of the festival. Grinding cornmeal is a tradition at the annual fair centered on a 19th century gristmill. The drought has dried Coahulla Creek to a trickle. But the fair will still feature plenty of arts and crafts, mountain music and food, and corn meal will still be for sale.
