The Georgia Army Guard is retiring its last UH-1 "Huey" helicopter. At a ceremony today at the Winder Regional Airport in northeast Georgia, Chief Warrant Officer 4 James Brennan, who first flew the helicopter, piloted the vintage chopper again for its final flight to Temple, Texas. Brennan will also receive the Order of Saint Michael, which honors people who contribute to Army Aviation. The final flight acknowledges the end of a chapter in Georgia Army National Guard aviation history that began in late 1970s with the arrival of the first UH-1 to Georgia.
