New numbers show Georgia saw the second largest increase in unemployment in the nation in September. The Bureau of Labor Statistics data show the state saw an over-the-month employment level decrease of more than 22-thousand jobs in September. That's down from the nearly 25-thousand jobs lost from August to September, but still places Georgia second only to Michigan. Georgia's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate rose to 6.5 percent in September, the highest rate in 16 years.
