Part of the Fulton County Courthouse was evacuated Friday afternoon after a smoke smell was reported on the ninth floor. Atlanta Fire Department spokesman Lt. Jerome Wright said fire officials found no blazes at the courthouse. Authorities are unsure what caused the smell. He said the courthouse was evacuated about 4 p.m. and people were allowed back in the building an hour later. No one was injured.
