The forecast is in from General Beauregard Lee--an early spring for Georgia. The state's official groundhog failed to see his shadow early this morning, which means a prediction of early spring. Gen. Beau on this Groundhog Day emerged from his mock-up antebellum mansion at the Yellow River Game Ranch in Lilburn Tuesday morning under overcast skies and 30 degrees. The groundhog’s owner says Gen. Beau has only missed a prediction once in his career. But that one miss was significant. In 1993 a prediction of early spring instead brought the worst blizzard in decades to blanket the South.
