Cagle to DOT: Sell State Cessna

Lt. Gov. Casey Cagle wants the state to put one of its airplanes on the auction block. He argues its sale would bring in more than of $1 million as the state grapples with budget woes. Cagle says the 1984 Cessna Citation is the least active in the state Department of Transportation fleet and is "rarely used." DOT officials say the plane is one of seven operated by the DOT and is most commonly used to shuttle Georgia officials to out-of-state trips. The Cessna seats five people and costs about $970 an hour to operate.
