LaGrange College Gets New President

An administrator at Belmont University in Tennessee has been named the new president of LaGrange College. The LaGrange board of trustees voted unanimously Thursday to name 55-year-old Dan McAlexander as leader of the small, private liberal arts college on the state's western border. McAlexander has been provost at Belmont in Nashville, Tenn., for eight years, overseeing the campus' faculty and staff. He replaces Stuart Gulley, who is leaving LaGrange to become president of Woodward Academy in Atlanta.
