Residents of St. Simons Island will gather tonight at the island’s Neptune Park to continue a Memorial Day tradition now in its 18th year, called Taps at Twilight. The event is a time for families and friends to gather and reflect on sacrifices made by members of the nation's military service. Ceremonies begin this evening at 7PM. Brigidier General Thomas S. Vandal, deputy commanding general for support of the 3rd Infantry Division at Ft. Stewart, will deliver the keynote address for the ceremony.
