Today begins a free service to Georgia parents in search of quality and affordability in child care. The referral program is a combined effort of the Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning, and the nonprofit Quality Care for Children. Bilingual staff is available for questions and to tap a statewide database of information on more than 8,000 licensed child care providers. The program is being funded by a $500,000 dollar federal grant. Information on the new child care referral service is available on the web by going to allgakids.org.
