Libertarian Presidential candidate Bob Barr released a statement predicting Georgia's 15 electoral votes will go to the Democratic nominee Barack Obama.
This election clairvoyance comes on the heels of an Insider Advantage poll showing Obama with a one point percentage lead over Republican candidate John McCain. The poll is the first to show Obama with a lead over McCain in Georgia.
The same poll shows "other" candidates, including Barr, garnering 2 percent of the vote. So, as Barr predicts it's over for McCain in Georgia, he's telling conservative voters it's just beginning for his campaign.
"Georgia voters looking for a candidate who truly believes in limiting the size of government and reducing taxes should vote for Bob Barr and the Libertarian Party," Barr said.
And, of course, if those three candidates don't do it for voters, there's always Cynthia McKinney.

Bob Barr claims Ron Paul supporters
Former Georgia Congressman and Libertarian Party presidential candidate Bob Barr
told reporters that he is getting support from those who backed Ron Paul in the GOP primary. Barr was at the state capitol today to file paperwork to get on the ballot in Georgia.
Barr says he has been in touch with Ron Paul and that his supporters are now contributing to the Barr Campaign and are working as volunteers. Ron Paul is a former libertarian candidate for president. He dropped out of the GOP primary after Senator John McCain clinched the nomination.

Libertarians nominate Bob Barr for president
Barr endorsed Wayne Allyn Root to be his vice presidential nominee.
Barr left the GOP in 2006 over what he called bloated spending and civil liberties intrusions by the Bush administration. He says he’s not in the race to be a spoiler, he’s in the race to win and expects to be on the ballot in at least 48 states.

Barr Running for President
Former GOP Congressman Bob Barr has announced he will run for President as a Libertarian. This comes despite protests from some Republicans that he could hurt John McCain’s chances. Barr left the Republican Party in 2006 citing the party’s stance on civil liberties. Four years earlier, he lost a re-election bid to keep his Georgia House seat.
Now, Barr says there needs to be an alternative to McCain and Democratic front runner Barrack Obama.
“It’s not a choice if the only two candidates presented to the American People are Senator McCain and Senator Obama… Two establishment candidates that are very much Washington creatures.”
Barr oversaw the House impeachment case against former President Bill Clinton. He has the support of about three percent of Americans according to a recent Zogby poll. If Barr does enter the race today, he will have to be nominated at the Libertarian convention, later this month.
