Governor Sonny Perdue's communications director is set to leave his job later this week. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that Dan McLagan is stepping down to start a public relations firm in Atlanta. The announcement is expected later today--McLagan's last day for the Governor would be Friday.
McLagan was a key voice in the 2002 Perdue campaign against Democratic Governor Roy Barnes. Perdue won the election, becoming the first Republican governor since Reconstruction.
