The Georgia State Prison system is sending a high-profile inmate to federal authorities. 1960’s black militant Jamil Abdullah Al-Amin, once known as H. Rap Brown, is now in federal custody in Oklahoma. 63-year-old Al-Amin is serving a life sentence for killing Fulton County deputy Ricky Kinchen in 2002. The state says no incident precipitated moving Al-Amin, but that the state prison system couldn’t handle keeping him.
