The closing of a middle Georgia plant will leave 100 people without jobs. Rockwell Automation will close the doors of its 30-year-old plant in Dublin next year. Officials with the Milwaukee-based company say operations will be phased-out beginning in October, and ending next July. Rockwell Automation provides industrial automation power, control and information systems to other manufacturers. The company is moving work from the Dublin plant to plants in Ohio and Mexico.

Georgia sports for Wednesday, May 30th
The Braves were narrow losers last night in Milwaukee, 5-4 to the Brewers. Peter Moylan took the pitching loss in only a third of an inning of work--he allowed 3 hits and 2 runs. John Smoltz started, but had to leave the game in the 4th inning after feeling a 'tweak' in his pitching shoulder. He also re-injured his right pinky finger. After the game, Smoltz said he believes he can make his next start.
Offensively, the Braves stranded 13 runners, including 2 in the 9th inning. For the game, Willie Harris knocked his 1st home run of the season among 3 hits. Andruw Jones and Jeff Francouer each had 3 hits.
The Braves have fallen to 5 games behind the Mets in the NL-East division. Tim Hudson gets the start for Atlanta this afternoon in the finale of the series in Milwaukee.
