Dozens rally to oust Michael Vick

Fifty people and 12 dogs showed up at the Falcons training field in Flowery Branch today. They protested Michael Vick's alleged involvement in illegal dog fighting. The demonstration was organized by PETA, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals.

Dan Shannon, a spokesperson for the group says Michael Vick’s statement that he had no knowledge of what happened on his property is not enough. "If he didn't know this was going on and he wasn't a part of it, why wouldn't he come and say he condemns it and doesn't agree with it," said Shannon. "He hasn't done that yet, which doesn't look good to us."

PETA wants Vick suspended. The quarterback is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday in federal court in Richmond. That’s also the first day of training camp for the Falcons.
